Hiring for Supply Chain Manager for a leading Medical Devices client

Location - Bangalore

The SCM Operations Manager is responsible for managing the SCM operations of

Manufacturing sites at Chennai and Bangalore. This position is part of Global Supply Chain Management.

The position is required one to be a team player in a highly demanding Supply Chain Org in a medical device and/or molecular in-vitro diagnostic company, responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Supply Chain Operations from Raw material, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Delivery to Customers.

This role will be accountable for all SCM Operations at the manufacturing site and will be a

single point of contact for the site Plant head, Global Supply Chain, and India Commercial/sales

team to ensure effective and timely coordination with external and internal teams to drive

operational deliverables. The role is expected to communicate effectively in a matrix

environment, use best practices to analyze and solve problems.

Later this role will have key Supply Chain manufacturing Operational functions Planning,

Procurement and Logistics reporting to SCM Ops Manager.

In this role, you will have the following key responsibilities:

• Accountable for complete end-to-end (RM to FG) Manufacturing Supply Chain

management of Bangalore (IVD production site) and Chennai site (IVD kitting

operations)

• Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of

related disciplines (Quality, Production, Finance) to ensure meeting required operational

deliverables.

Establishes and maintains supply system as assigned to ensure uninterrupted supply of

required materials.

• Makes independent decisions with minimal guidance to support ongoing material supply
• Ensuring, setting, and controlling Inventory levels necessary to support the operations

while also meeting the Global Inventory targets.

• Work collaboratively with supply chain and engineering stakeholders; develop supplier

  the selection process for piece parts or outsourced assemblies and identify supply chain risks

  supporting sourcing decisions.

   

  Manufacturing Industry experience is mandatory in sectors like  - Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Chemicals, Food/FMCG, Electronics

  
  

  The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor of Engineering with overall 12+ years of experience working in SCM functions and

• minimum 3 years leading SCM Ops at the Manufacturing Plant.

• Or a Masters's degree with 10-12 years of experience working in SCM functions and a minimum of 3 years leading SCM Ops at the manufacturing site.

• Global and local stakeholder management

• Hands-on knowledge of SAP
• Experience working in Global MNC culture
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Experience setting up SCM SOPs at new sites (brownfield/Greenfield)
•  

  It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in the following:

• Related experience in a diagnostic, medical device, or regulated manufacturing

• environment.

• Experience with Agile, lifecycle management, and advanced database/Excel skills.
