Education for Women in India

“Live as tomorrow you will die. Learn as if you live forever”. These lines were spoken by a very great man ‘Mahatma Gandhi’. Education has been considered as goddess ‘Saraswati’ in the Hindu mythology. Education is very essential for human. The economy and democracy of a country is based on the education of that country. But a very big problem has ouccurred on the entire world.

       That is the education for women in our society. More than two-third of the 796 million illiterate people are girl especially in poor countries and rural regions. This problem has occurred because of the bad thinking of our society. It is very essential for us to solve this problem. The government has started many organizations towards women education but this is not enough. We should also encourage the society about why education is essential for women. Some reasons why women education is essential are written as follow –

Ø  As I have written in the above lines the democracy and economy of a country is based on the education of a country it is essential for women to have right education.

Ø  It decreases many national problems such as child marriage, population explosion etc.

Ø  Future educated generations- 60% children are taught by their mother so if the mother is well educated then the future generations will be well educated.

Today because of the effort of the government and many N.G.Os [Non Government Organizations] many girls are going to school and many women are admitting in the Indian army and many other activities.
