About the role

TutorPapa is inviting experienced subject specialists for part-time online and home tuition in Chandigarh, including Sectors 15, 35 and 44. Teach your specialist subject and suitable class levels rather than being expected to cover every subject. Home visits are limited to mutually agreed local areas.

Use each school's prescribed syllabus: Chandigarh has no separate state examination board. Keep nearby Punjab-board learner requirements separate from CBSE lessons.

Subjects & boards

Classes 1–12: Maths; Science, including Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the appropriate class level; and Computer Science, Python, coding and IT. Support CBSE, ICSE/ISC, IB/IGCSE and Chandigarh schools following CBSE; Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) for relevant nearby learners, only within your demonstrated curriculum expertise. JEE/NEET foundation support may be included for suitable secondary and senior-secondary learners; it is not required for primary classes.

Responsibilities

• Assess the learner's current understanding and agree subject-specific goals with the family.
• Prepare lessons, worked examples and practice tasks using the learner's actual board and textbook edition.
• For Chandigarh learners, use each school's prescribed syllabus: Chandigarh has no separate state examination board. Keep nearby Punjab-board learner requirements separate from CBSE lessons.
• Track progress, review errors and share concise updates with parents or guardians.
• For coding lessons, guide learners through their own programs and debugging rather than completing assignments for them.

Requirements

• Subject specialist with at least 2 years of teaching experience (mandatory).
• Graduate with strong knowledge of the subject and class levels offered; state your board-specific teaching experience.
• Clear communication, patient explanations and responsible conduct with children; coordinate learning arrangements with parents or guardians.
• Reliable internet and a suitable teaching device for online classes; ability to travel within agreed Chandigarh neighbourhoods for home tuition.

Work mode & timings

Flexible part-time work through online lessons and home tuition. Agree after-school or weekend availability with TutorPapa and the family. Mention which of Sectors 15, 35 and 44 you can cover; online availability does not imply availability for home visits across the entire city. Student matching and schedules depend on confirmed learning requirements.
